Privacy Policy

Edit Insider Studio is operated by Edit Insider Media (“we”, “us”). Edit Insider Media, a sole proprietorship based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, registered under UDYAM number UDYAM-UK-05-0132134, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

• Contact form: your name, email address, the service you’re interested in and your message. Your IP address is used briefly to limit spam and abuse; it is not stored.
• Direct messages: if you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your message and your email address or phone number.
• Google sign-in: your name, email address and the link to your Google profile photo.
• Your profile: your company or channel (optional), the kind of content you create, and your time zone.
• Your projects: your brief and requirements; links to your footage (we don’t copy footage from those links); messages and any files you attach (up to 25 MB each); revision notes; and delivered drafts and final files.
• Payments: invoices, amounts, payment references and any payment receipt you upload. We never collect card details — payments are made through Skydo, Payoneer or your bank.
• Reviews you choose to leave, and your choice about whether it may be shown publicly.

We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we don’t collect passwords.

• To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.
• To run your workspace: orders, messages, revisions and deliveries.
• To confirm payments and keep accounting and tax records.
• To send emails about your account, orders, projects and payments.
• To keep the service secure and prevent spam and misuse.

We don’t send marketing emails, and we don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

Where laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (or taking steps you ask for before one); our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and keeping the service secure; and our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Service providers that host or process data for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email delivery) and Google (sign-in).
• Payment providers — Skydo, Payoneer and banks — when you pay us. They handle your payment details under their own policies.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us there. Those conversations are handled under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
• Editors or collaborators who work on your project. They can access only the projects and materials they’re assigned to.
• Editing, transcription, captioning, audio-enhancement and similar production tools we sometimes use, which may process your footage or audio to produce your edit. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms.
• Authorities or others, where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

If you leave a review, allow it to be shown publicly and we approve it, it appears on the website with your name and company.

Completed work may be displayed in the Edit Insider Studio portfolio and promotional materials unless otherwise agreed with the client or the client asks for it to be removed.

We are based in India. Our database and uploaded files are hosted by Supabase in the South Asia (Mumbai), India region. Other service providers may process information in other countries.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in to the client workspace. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and browsing the public website without signing in sets no cookies.

Access is restricted so that clients see only their own records and editors only their assigned projects. Uploaded files are kept in private storage and downloaded through temporary links. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

• Enquiries that don’t become projects: 12 months.
• Your account, messages and project information: 24 months after your last project.
• Uploaded files and deliveries: 90 days after the project is completed, unless we agree otherwise.
• Email records: 12 months.
• Direct correspondence: emails and WhatsApp messages related to enquiries or projects may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide the service, keep business records or resolve disputes. Enquiry correspondence that does not become a project is generally reviewed for deletion after 12 months.
• Invoices, payments and payment receipts: as long as accounting, tax or other laws require.

We delete information at the end of these periods as part of regular reviews, so some may remain for a short time afterwards, and copies can remain in backups until those backups expire.

Deleting our copies does not affect information held independently by WhatsApp (Meta), which is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.

Depending on where you live — for example under the EU or UK GDPR, or India’s data protection law — you may have the right to access your information, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive a copy of it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

You can update your name, company, content type and time zone yourself on your workspace Profile page. For anything else, email us.

Send requests to mohit@editinsider.com. We aim to respond within 30 days, after verifying your identity. We may keep information we are legally required to retain, such as payment records, and we’ll tell you if we do.

Our service is for people aged 18 or over. It isn’t directed at children, and if we learn we hold a child’s information we will delete it.

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version.
